Sorry about the delay, we've had a lot to take in during the last couple of weeks, but the photos are now online in our gallery.

We've also an announcement to make:-

This years show was the last DJ Show North, we've done what we set out to do, which was to provide the North with a viable dj exhibition.

Our footfall this year was not as we expected ( 656 people through the doors over the course of the day ) and this has been the most difficult year ever for us as the industry had collectively tightened its purse strings, so many thanks to all the exhibitors that put their money where their mouths were and backed us for the fourth year.

I (Paul) also believe that DJ's priorities have changed this year and they are no longer as keen to attend product awareness type events such as ours in favour of events where they can "barter for a bargain", and this is a shame as local retailers really got behind us in support of our type of event, because if people are buying at shows, they're not buying over their counters.

We didn't want to compromise what we set out to do by turning the event into a giant sale room/ bargain competition and decided this week that we'd call it a day while we were still ahead. These reasons, combined with the ever growing workload on our team led us to this this decision.

We hope you've enjoyed the last 4 years and there's a few other shows that wouldn't exist had we not put ourselves out on in limb back in 2005 and inspired them, so good luck to them.

Pioneer Competition!

Pioneer win be running a competition all day at DJ Show North this Sunday to give away:

All people have to do when they visit is fill out a small survey form....

They will announce the winners on the day.

Adam Hall join us at the last gasp, eager to show the massive range of LD Systems kit and all the other goodies that Adam Hall have to offer. Phew I can't cram any more in !!

Giraffe Music Stands join us for the first time this year, exhibiting their internationally renown range of stands for all manner of uses throughout the entertainment industry. Its great to have them on board!

ProDub join us last minute !

Like it or not we have now got a legal way of converting our cd's to mp3 and using them for performance, plus its a better deal than we got last year. ProDub will be exhibiting this year and will be on hand to answer your questions, plus you can sign up for the license on the day.

Mixmash pull out and....

Unfortunately due to staffing issues Mixmash have had to pull out of this years show, they've been with us from the start and they'll be sadly missed.

Never ones to have an empty stand their stand will be replaced by.....

Chauvet will be joining us to show off their new range of LED and laser products.

Its the first time we've had a hire company exhibit at DJ Show North, but as they say, there's a first time for everything (apart from morris dancing).

NPR Entertainments will be showing their specialist LED dancefloors for hire, so if your client wants that extra something, why buy it in specially when you can hire it at a fraction of the cost.

Impact return this year with a new string to their bow, they're now the UK distributor for Chauvet lighting, and its great to have them on-board once more.

Taking the last of our centre "showpiece" stands (you'll know what I mean when the floorplan goes live) is Monacor Ltd. Most of you will know the IMG / Stageline brands but may not know what they're up to at the moment. Well they have a raft of products aimed squarely at the working DJ. Mixers, USB Audio devices, Amplification, Speakers, and more. And we are more than happy to have them on board this year to help raise awareness of all these great products.

We also welcome Stanton to the DJ Show North camp, now distributing the range of Cerwin Vega speakers as well as their range of DJ hardware and software. Including their new SC System of hardware controllers, with the SCS1.d having the most advanced control surface platter currently available on the market. Have a look at it here !

We're happy to welcome back the guys from Computer DJ, who lead the way in all aspects of software dj'ing, PCDJ Reflex is the thing all you laptop DJ's should be talking about, so hopefully you'll be able to get some serious "hands on" when they return to exhibit this year.

Its always great to have Carlsbro involved and this year is no different, some of our exhibitors go above and beyond just being an "exhibitor" and Carlsbro are one of these.
With a fantastic product range for 2008 and superb customer support they stand out as a great company to deal with, and they should be good ! They've been at it since 1959 !

One of the North's great success stories, Mastermix will be exhibiting this year, they are always producing fantastic cd's and dvds that soon become the weapons of choice for professional dj's across the UK if not the world. Their new professional range is fast introducing a whole new generation of dj's to their catalogue.

But what do you keep all these cd's in?

Slappa cases of course ! They will be also exhibiting this years with a plethora of ways to store and transport your media. Plus a new ranges of cases designed specifically with the digital and laptop dj in mind.

I can't keep secrets for long! So yes its true Pioneer will be exhibiting at this years DJ Show North, they've launched product before on other exhibitors stands, like the DVJ-1000 at our 2006 show, but this year they'll be there in there own right.

They've some fantastic kit to show this year and you be able to get "hands on" with most of it.

Its fantastic to have them on board.

Big Announcement On The Way

We've a big announcement to make this week about a new exhibitor making there début with us this year, well as an individual exhibitor anyway. They've had a product launch at DJ Show North before but on another exhibitors stand, so this year they've got their own stand.

Pro Audio Imports will be at DJ Show North

Joining us again will be the guys from Pro Audio Imports, who will be hopefully be bringing along the Professional Intimidation range of speakers that have to be heard to be believed (sound level meters at the ready !), as well as the Kool range of sound and lighting products.

Bose will also be attending this year as the popularity of the L1 system grows and grows, no more bad backs from lifting those 18" cabs when the "mighty pole" (oooer) can do the lot!

DJ Show North at the NADJ AGM

DJ Show North will be exhibiting at the forthcoming NADJ AGM this Sunday at the Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, we hope to meet as many of you as possible and so if you've any queries about the show we'll be on hand to answer any questions or just share a beer !

We team up once again with Nordoff Robbins

After our massive success last year raising money for music therapy, we decided a rematch was in order and so this year a pound from every ticket sold (either on the day or by preregistration) will be donated to our friends at Nordoff Robbins to help support their work transforming lives through music.
Every paying attendee will receive a "play music" wristband to show they've supported this very worthy cause, but don't worry you trade visitors, theses fetching wristbands will be available to purchase on the day for you non-payers!
